Our Purpose

Journey of Gratitude is on a mission to activate the “ah-ha!” moment which unlocks the confidence, motivation and urgency in people so they can begin a journey of digital transformation for their ideas, brand and business.

This site represents the manifestation of a creative vision of JinJa Birkenbeuel, CEO of BIrk Creative.

one Late anguished evening in the throes of the early days of the pandemic of 2020, I was trying to come up with something I could do to help small American businesses that were vanishing overnight as a result of the U.S. government’s failure to protect the entrepreneurs, Small Business Owners and innovators during the crisis.

I decided to place my creative skill sets to use to help these businesses keep pushing forward even amidst the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Initially, I offered my big-brand level strategic services to creative-minded entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial artists and we would design and publish a book. The simple qualification was for entrepreneur to demonstrate that they have an eye for design and also be able to express a visual love for their craft or product. They would also need to be coachable so I could get the best out of them to make a frictionless design process. The result would be to deliver a gorgeous coffee-table book that represents their brand with a high quality design aesthetic.

I chose Instagram as the best place to curate the artists. I wanted to verify that they were photographing their own work, using a basic tool: The iPhone or a Google Pixel. No professional cameras or pro shooters would fit in this vision.

The first cohort of “Journey Of Gratitude” was created for three hand-selected American and Midwestern women artists Kelly Marie Thompson, Jean Cate and Theresa Wangia.

The mission has been expanded to include other type of creative businesses, and will include professional, introductory level creative design coaching, personal branding strategies, content marketing strategies and social media, Web3 and NFT education, training and onboarding.

For artists and creatives that have products that represent well in a coffee-table book, they will receive complementary copies of the book to use for any purpose that aligns with their business, with all production costs, subsidized by Journey of Gratitude. The books are also available for you to purchase, dear visitor, as single copy print-on-demand here through my website. The cost covers the book manufacturer to print the books and the cost to ship them directly to you.

Journey of Gratitude is a 501(c)(3), registered not for profit. Your gift to support our work and efforts is tax-deductible.
